Memorandum of Understanding signed between Italy and China for joint patrolling of tourist areas

On September 24th, in the margins of the fifth Conference of the EU countries’ Chiefs of Police held in The Hague (Netherlands), a Memorandum of Understanding was concluded between Italy and China to perform joint patrols in tourist attractions areas.

Signed by the Chinese Ministry of Public Security’s Director General of the Department for International Cooperation, Liao Jinrong and the Deputy Director General of Public Security - Director Central for Criminal Police, Prefect Antonino Cufalo, at the presence of the Chief of Police, Prefect Alessandro Pansa, the agreement entails that Chinese and Italian police forces can work together to assist their fellow citizens and prevent crimes common in tourist areas most frequented by citizens of both Countries.
